  • Geographic summer art camp
    • Monday-Friday, 1-5 pm for children up to 6 years
    • We offer you virtual travel across the Ocean in our Magic Art Geography Camp. Your child will get the knowledge about different countries in a play form with art. Our program includes: Painting, Sculpture, Sand painting on a light tables, Collage

  • Glow Yoga Kids
    • Looking for a fun and unique way to spend a week or three this summer? Look no further! Glow Yoga Kids is offering creative, exciting and super fun yoga camps through The Shala Yoga (10050 81 Ave), Trinity Lutheran Church (10014 81 Ave), and Fraser Community League (14720 21 St) for kids ages 4-10.

  • John Janzen Nature Centre
    • Super Senses Camp (ages 4-5)
      •  July 11-15 OR Aug 15-19 1-4 pm at the John Janzen Nature Centre, 7000 143 St, Edmonton (beside Fort Edmonton Park)
      • Touch, smell, see, taste, and hear the River Valley all around as we explore the wonders of nature. We'll test our noses on a smell scavenger hunt, compare our hearing to an owl's, try matching furs to the correct animal, search for our favourite colors in the forest, and try some of nature's tasty treats. 
      • As truly sense-ational superheroes, we'll make superhero capes and masks to meet some new human friends who use their senses in super ways, just like us! 
      • If registering in both Nature Explorers and Super Senses Camps for the same week, call 311 for over lunch (12-1pm) child care options.

    • Eco-Quest Camp (ages 9-12)
      • July 11-15 OR Aug 8-12 9am-4pm at the John Janzen Nature Centre, 7000 143 St, Edmonton (beside Fort Edmonton Park)
      • Join us as we investigate the environment and see how we can reduce their impact on our planet! In this green-tastic camp, we'll hunt for geocaches, tour the Edmonton Waste Management Centre to see how our city recycles and search the Reuse Centre for eco-craft supplies.
      • We'll investigate solar and wind energy, make our own re-usable shopping bags, propose a plan to help conserve one of Alberta's animals and learn how to compost! We'll also help our pollinator friends by spending some time in our pollinator garden and even make our own mini gardens to take home.

  • John Walter Museum
    • Mrs. Walter's Kitchen Kids Camp (ages 6-10)
      • July 11-15 OR August 22-26, 9 AM - 4 PM at the John Walter Museum (9180 Walterdale Hill, across from the Kinsmen Sports Centre).
      • Each day, campers will discover the pioneer way of life and help prepare two old fashioned recipes. To satisfy our sweet tooth we'll prepare fresh cinnamon buns, cookies and ice cream. We'll also cook up a savory soup, make fresh scones & butter, and roast bannock over the fire. Then, while our goodies are baking in the wood burning stove, campers, will experience other aspects of pioneer life by working in the gardens and building a wooden toy to take home.

    • Happy Holidays Camp (Ages 6-10)
      • July 25-29, 9 AM - 4 PM at the John Walter Museum (9180 Walterdale Hill, across from the Kinsmen Sports Centre).
      • During this festive five day camp, every day is a new holiday! Together, we'll bake a traditional Easter pastry, make a box of delicious Christmas goodies, and kick up our heels for Metis New Year with a special guest who will teach us traditional Metis dancing. To keep campers in the holiday spirit, we'll hunt for Easter eggs, make our own Valentine's Day cards, and create old fashioned Christmas decorations for our tree. Best of all, young pioneers won't have to wait until October to go trick or treating. Our week will end with a costume party and a festive scavenger hunt throughout Walterdale.

    • Little House in the River Valley (Ages 8-12)
      • August 2-5, 9 AM - 4 PM at the John Walter Museum (9180 Walterdale Hill, across from the Kinsmen Sports Centre).
      • Experience life as an early Edmontonian! Together, we'll discover the benefits of living near a river, but also the challenges that John Walter and his family faced. Campers will learn basic woodworking techniques, build their own working wooden paddle boats, and bake delicious treats in our wood burning stoves. With the river valley as our playground, we'll build forts, search for native plants and learn some orienteering skills to help us navigate around Walterdale Park. At the end of the week, we'll cool down with some homemade ice cream and a trip to Queen Elizabeth Pool.

    • Intro to Improv Camp (Ages 10-12 OR 13-15)
      • August 8-12 (ages 10-12) OR August 15-19 (ages 13-15), 9 AM - 4 PM at the John Walter Museum (9180 Walterdale Hill, across from the Kinsmen Sports Centre).
      • Using stories from Edmonton's past as inspiration, we'll introduce the foundations of improvisation in this lively five day camp. Each morning, we'll be joined by local improvisers who will lead us through various games and activities aimed at increasing campers' creativity and self-confidence. In the afternoon, we'll explore the pioneer life through baking in our wood burning stoves, trying out some historical woodworking and roasting bannock over the fire.

  • Microsoft Camps
    • Ages 8-11
      • Kodu Makerspace
      • Create rich and exciting games with Kodu Game Lab in this free, beginner-level camp. Kids learn coding fundamentals and how to build games in a fun, hands-on environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. The camp also lets them give and get constructive feedback with others, exercise their logic and critical thinking skills, and test games and resolve challenges with Kodu Game Lab features. Don’t miss this chance to learn and have fun.
      • This four-day camp lasts two hours per day, and campers must attend the days consecutively. As a beginner-level camp, it is recommended for kids ages 8 to 11.

      • Learn to Code Flatverse
      • Build your own Flatverse game using TouchDevelop in this free, intermediate-level camp. Kids learn coding fundamentals, then get hands-on instruction on how to read and write basic code themselves. They’ll even learn how to publish their game, so others can play it on their computer or mobile device. Kids will love this opportunity to exercise their problem-solving and logic skills while having fun and making new friends.
      • This four-day camp lasts two hours per day, and campers must attend the days consecutively. This intermediate-level camp is recommended for kids ages 12 and older.
    • 13+
      • Start Your Own Business
      • Be inspired in this free, interactive camp that offers entrepreneurial kids the knowledge, tools and support to make their business idea a reality. Kids learn key concepts from testing their product or idea to protecting it, and receive training on how to create their own business pitch. All campers will leave with a basic business plan and polished pitch, and the opportunity to present their idea to friends, family, and local entrepreneurs.
      • This four-day camp lasts two hours per day, and campers must attend the days consecutively. This camp is for kids age 13 and older and requires a Microsoft account.

  • Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre
    • Soldier Through Time Camp (Ages 9-12)
      • July 4-8 OR July 18-22 at Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre (10440 108 Ave NW, Edmonton AB).
      • Attention all recruits! Enlist in the 49th Battalion for an action-packed week at the Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre. Join the Loyal Edmonton Regiment Museum and learn all about life in the trenches by examining artifacts such as weapons and medals, trying on military uniforms, visiting a military base and meeting real soldiers of the past and present. Learn how to march, stand at attention, salute, and demonstrate your combat readiness by completing an obstacle course modeled on basic training. This camp includes a trip to the Telephone Museum and all campers will be issued a camp t-shirt and hat to take home.
