    • Fort Edmonton Park and the John Walter Museum offer activities for birthday parties such as a pioneer party and baking party. Fort Edmonton also has fur trader themed parties.
    • John Janzen Nature Centre caters to children ages 4-12 with dinosaur adventure parties, bug-mania, snowshoe adventure, and stalking and tracking animal themes.
    • Muttart Conservatory- lets you discover the jungle or desert and discover all about plants.  These parties are targeted to 4-11 year olds.
    • Valley Zoo -  lets you be a zookeeper, solve a mystery at the zoo, be an alphabet detective and get closer to the animals. Party packages here cater to 4-12 year olds.
    • The City of Edmonton also runs many recreation centres and arenas that have a variety of options for birthday parties/team parties for swimming or skating, etc. Some parties can be held during public hours or some private rentals can also be made subject to availability. Call the facility to book the party or check the website.

Looking for ideas for school groups, daycare children, Girl Guide and Boy Scout groups etc here are some suggestions. Also if you are bringing a sports team or band to the city you may have some extra time for a fun and educational trip. Group bookings should always be made in advance.

Tours of the Legislature Building and Interpretive Centre can be tailored to your class or group with topics including levels of government, public policy or the role of elected representatives. There are other programs like Mock Legislature, which is a program with role-play for Grade 6 students that gives students a chance to experience first hand the parliamentary process.
